This piece was made in support of the transgener community. It's a symbolic metamorphosis line drawing. Though the top half of the mermaid's form is muscular, like that you may see in a man, the mermaid has womanly features as well. It's strong posture and wings indicate that it has broken free from the burden of living in the dark so long, similar to how a mermaid lives in the depths of the sea, where nobody can see it. The sea has many tales of mystery and secrets, and the antique finish indicates that the transgender society has been hiding for a very long time.
